Hi @lucky_you, here's my approach on how you can learn to create script, this not limited to lua only: - Always remember Language functions and syntax. On lua the syntax is: "do", "end", "if", "else", "elseif", "then". - Always learn from examples or open source project/script. - Familiar yourself with reading documentation. - Always do script testing. + Train yourself in debugging / reading others code. Disect them. Here's list of reference that you should read and experiment with: - Reference LUA 5.1: since GG is based on this version of LUA - Reference Game Guardian Above commenters has provide great reference, I only made detailed point.

You need to understand that a script is automated execution of certain actions, for example: find such and such a number, divide by 10, write there, repeat 6 times, etc... This is an API for GameGuardian scripting to be made easier. Currently, in v2, it only shortens some function(s) names and adds a database. The database is very cool as it can store variables in a file and load them up later. How to install this API to your script? there will be [x64] next to the game processs if your game is 64bit. and there is none in the video so your game is 32bit. that is why the script didnt work. its only for 64bit.

if im not mistaken @MonkeySANmade that script with the game version 2.42 but i did tested it and still work with the latest version 2.43 he did mention the script is only for 64bit. any chance your game is 32bit hence the reason the script didnt work for you?

Thanks for the advice, but dealing with decompiled programs is not my thing. So I want to search for a value and then get the address of the value and then do an address search for the address of the value to get how to write it into a script.

This function has been later made available as part of GG public API - searchPointer. "gg.internal3" and "gg.searchPointer" are exactly the same function, it's just that it was first an experiment, so started as internal function. By the time of last update of chainer script, "searchPointer" function hasn't existed yet, that's why it isn't used there.
