Recent Topics: Sidebar or Recent Posts?

I would prefer a separate page for recent topics, but a sidebar is pretty good too.

You can use the "View New Content" button that's by the menu's.

I think I prefer the current one, because it provides more information, but it is much more space-consuming. However, I do want to see what people prefer, when they are in action. For now, I disabled the Current one (the larger one), to see how the sidebar version performs.
