Seemed to be just visual for me. Once I restarted the game they reverted back to the true values.

Mine wasn't reverted when I reinstalled the app and reopened it to check but my profile was banned:P

I managed to get energy that way. Making the rubies a minus figure doesn't work and if you make the energy too high the game crashes but 999999 worked and it stayed there when I restarted.

Can't find a way to get gems but it is possible to make things you need to spend gems for a zero value so you can buy for free. In the pic I needed 8 stone and it was costing 8 gems. Make it 0 and upgrade for free. Seems to work for anything costing gems.

If you long press on the GG icon and use the speed up function that works to speed up any time related stuff. Things you might be crafting etc
