How does speed hack work?

Let's say you record for 1 second a game which is 60fps. With speed hack as 2 will you see 120 frames in 1 second or there will be lost frames? I'm using nox player

Speedhack modifies the progress of the system timer for this application.
If there were 60 frames per second, now there will be 120 of them, if the equipment capacity allows. Usually games are designed to skip frames, if performance is not enough.
Deceleration is simpler.
