subzeroravenwood Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I'm looking to root my galaxy s4 without using a computer or laptop. Searched the threads but couldn't find a clear cut definitive tutorial. After root is achieved is it better to use titanium, superSU, or freedom?
Justblaze Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 https://towelroot.com Superuser is needed to sustain root. Freedom and titanium is optional
subzeroravenwood Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 I'm not going to pay or "donate" any money. Free or not at all.
Justblaze Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Then your options are limited. Only other way is using a computer or laptop. If you search xda forums you can find a way to root your s4 Sent from my LG-D950 using Tapatalk
subzeroravenwood Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Someone else also recommended xda. I also found z4root. What's your take on that?
Justblaze Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Z4root was old way of rooting. Used it 3-4 years ago for my droid X. Not sure if it still works well with s4. Simple process download z4 tap root and wait a few seconds. If it hangs close app try again. Make sure you install superuser after your done. Can't brick your device rooting. It's what you do after the phone is rooted . Let me know if it works. Sent from my LG-D950 using Tapatalk
subzeroravenwood Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Didn't realize it was that old. OK thanks.
