TUT Capturing Packets From Android Device

Here's a tutorial a made from around when I first joined the forum but so far I haven't had any luck of cheating this way so I was hoping maybe some one else might have some better luck.

Capturing packets from android device with Cain and Abel and Wireshark

Cain and Abel v4.9.42 - http://www.oxid.it/cain.html

Wireshark - http://www.wireshark.org/

Colasoft Packet Player - http://www.colasoft.com/packet_player/

First make sure nothing that connects to the internet is running because Wireshark captures all packets that pass through the computer/laptop.

Then open up Cain and Abel and go to Sniffer and Hosts

Click on the toxic looking symbol.

Now hit the blue plus symbol and click OK.

You'll get a list of devices connected to the router and the router.

Now remember the router and android device ip address.

Now to APR tab at the bottom and click on the top white box and then hit the blue plus symbol.

For the box on the left pick your router and the box on your right pick your android device.

Now make sure it says poisoning if not hit turn the toxic symbol on and off.

Now that we have the packets going through the computer/laptop now we need to capture them.

Open Wireshark and click capture options.

First uncheck capture packets in promiscuous mode.

Then check capture packets in pcap-ng format.

Last set your source of getting internet(in my case my laptops wifi card).

Now hit start and watch the packets come in.

To stop hit the button at the top with the white x.

Now save the captured packets somewhere that you'll remember(like the desktop)

Then open Colasoft Packet Player.

Load the packets and edit the options to your liking.

Hit send.

???.

Profit!!(jk I don't know if it will work)

Packet Editing is one of the most powerful forms and least protected ways to hack a game. Thanks for this, was looking for ways to do this for a while. Last image is broken but o well, I'm assuming its a packet sender and shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

I did everything on there got all packets from my cellphone to the server and vice versa, but.. i tried resend the packets to my cellphone or to the server, nothing happened, maybe if can run the game on pc and try with wpepro (another packer sniffer)

Edit 1: tried with genymotion + wpepro.. but the adress ip from was strange.. i mean.. wrong, and didnt worked when i tried to send the packts

Simply catching and trying to resend packets usually won't work. For one, they usually have info involving the time in them and there are failsafes.

Soo, I need to modify the patch to the right time? or just modify things which wont "change" and send it? 

with WPE was more easy.... doing filters...
