Graphic Design or Web Design?

So in just over a year I'm gonna go to univeristy but I can't decide whether to study graphic design or web design.

I already have quite a good knowledge of graphic design and if I wanted to learn web design I'd have to learn coding and programming in my own time during the course of this year (which I don't mind doing).

What do you guys suggest I do?

1. this forum is about game guardian not about your personal problem

2. you should choose what you like spending time in the most. there are a lot of video on YouTube about almost everything, you should take an overview and see what you prefer the most.

It is too easy to ask people to make choices in your place, and it is possible that you end up wasting time on something you don't really like .

3. web design doesn't require programming at all, only an imaginative mind is required

They are drastically different from each other and I hope that more people realise that

Graphic design is about creating some design, web is about creating websites. In first one you need more designer and painter skills, instead developer skills on second one. In both of them you need design btw. My advice is try both of them and choose what you like the most. If you know HTML/CSS+JS basics go into web, if want gain skills in design go graphics. I am designer for 5 years and I've started with simple photo edit. You can try this way too, for example use crello https://create.vista.com/colors/color-names/cyan/ and easy learn into this niche, because it's way easier for beginners than photoshop.
