Tried that on my android 5.0 phone also (no root on it), and the "delete unnecessary" prompt still comes out. Are there anything wrong with it? I tried to replace the oldversion files (except smali) with the new version ones. But still failed to even initialize the app.

Now I changed the version name by editing AndroidManifest.xml and I have alr deleted the new version apk and installed the signed old version apk. But after that I still got the "delete unnecessary application" prompt after initialized. Do I need to reinstall bluestacks?

@Idiotvitamin How do you do that? I decompiled the whole apk and tried to find the versionname but I found nothing. I am trying to modify the apk of the japanese version. Can you do explain more on changing the versionname?
