Ooo nice find! I just tried it. I've just been keeping my client on v61 this whole time to make it work. This method is pretty hard to predict what your stats will be. I tried 2000x8 and it went to like 8000 attack. Usually I only make it a few 100 stronger than max grade weapons which is easier to do on v61. Sometimes I wonder what my party members think when I destroy monsters in seconds lol.

Haven't really tried. v63 is out now, I'll jump on and mess around to see if anything has changed. No I didn't find a way.

You can find the stats of every weapon on mhn.quest, but as Hackguru says, even at 8*, weapons with max stats (as high as the game possibly let's you) is still a challenge. Even when I max it to 3000 damage, they don't die fast. Maybe 4000, damage is good. I'm not too sure what I'll do after they disable value editing for stats because my standard weapons aren't upgraded enough, even tho I'm farming like crazy.

Yes find the APK for 61 and download it. You can still play v61 at the moment. When you open the game, it will ask you if you want to download v62, just tap cancel.

I used mhn.quest to find the max damage my weapons go to and use that as a guide. But yes there is always a risk.

I had a version of monster hunter that was v62.0 and I couldn't modify the attack. But I reinstalled Ver.61 and I could modify it again. I don't know if it's just me or if ver62.0 different somehow.

I think something's changed. I cannot edit my attack anymore, can you confirm if you're having the same issue?

Disregard, I figured it out. I was trying to move the ninja GPS app into /system so it can act as a system app. Oh, a timer? Hrmmmm. I better be careful then. I do see a timer on there.

When I searched "Affinity" value, a lot of search results show up. I'll have to play around with it more to narrow down my search results. I think the only part of this whole process that I am having problems with is installing Joystick (root method) from AppNinja. Hrmm.

Thank you for the tip I'm doing it now. I'm not sure how high to take the defence and attack, so just taking in what you said, I maxed out the Diablos Bow to what it can achieve in-game (1979 Attack). I'm only up to 6* at the moment, I imagine things will get harder when it's 7*-8*. Do you use a Joystick for your nap movement as well?

I rooted my old HTC phone yesterday just to try this. The amount of hoops you have to jump through, my gosh. I maxed out my Iron Bow to 1596 attack, the damage is hilarious.
