Text (string, HEX, AoB) search/replace 3.3.2

it doesn't seem to support japanese character or utf-8 encoding

Utf-8 russian charset worked for me.

If only 2 japanese characters were searched, text was found but when 3 chars and above text was not found.

example when i input 'あの', text found. but when i input '…………………あの…。' text not found

I'm very sure, that text was there because when i dump the memory that text was there.

Text padded with dot? Or it is some unprintable symbol? You must input exact bytes for search.

those were not just dots, it's a japanese char

normal dots = '...' or in hex '2e 2e 2e'

japanese char =  '…' or in hex  'e2 80 a6'

I think you input wrong bytes for search. You need input exact same as in dump.

For exclude any text conversion you can use mixed type and input some bytes as hex, and some bytes as string in quotes.

For example

e2 80 a6 "あの" e2 80 a6

 

I copied the japanese texts in dump that's what i did so i'm certain there would be result but none.

Then copy hex bytes, not text, because for conversion from text to bytes used java. It can change something.

When I scan like this, 8000 results come up! I set this for 20 bytes and it exceeds the limit.
