Not all game edits need to be performed with a memory editor.  GG, for me, is a last resort, but of course, I enjoy the challange.  You wouldn't use a hammer to drive in a thumbtack, right?

To that end, here is a saved-game editing tutorial I wrote for Beamdog's Infinity Engine Enhanced Edition games (Baldur's Gate I & II, Icewind Dale, etc.).

I wrote the tutorial for Android, but this technique works for almost any platform.
