ebs512 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 So I've tried a few PC tune up software's and my PC still seems a bit slow...every time I type into Google it lags with the loading icon and even worse when I'm multi-tasking...I've barely had this PC a month and I do have quite a few programs installed but I have the memory/space for it...any help would be greatly appreciated Edit: Nevermind, defragging seemed to help wonders, still a little bit of lag but nothing I can't deal with, it was way worse before, everything I click went into not responding mode, and took 10min just to get out of that, fixing to open photoshop and lets see if that causes things to slow down Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2

Uzephi Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 If your motherboard is AM2+, invest in a phenom AM3. they are pretty cheap now ($50 or so) and you'll see a big difference. I did that after my hard drive fried. I saw a big speed boost, especially in rendering Sent from my CM7 Droid Inc using tapatalk

Uzephi Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 If there is a fry's electronics where you live, read the ads from local newspaper or online for your area. They have good motherboard/CPU combos., most of the time better than goodegg. Sent from my CM7 Droid Inc using tapatalk
