Can't figure this out at all.

Question

Posted

I just got GG, along with Virtual Space. I am trying to run them with LD Player 9. What I am seeing when I try to run them is not what the tutorials show.

1. They both get installed within LD Player, as though they were games. Is that correct, or is there a way to install them outside.

2. It was described as if VS is installed first, then GG would go inside it. That isn't what happened. So I cannot figure how to run them except as two separate apps.

3. When I try to run GG, it never actually starts, just spins, saying it's loading.

4. When I uninstalled LDP9, I then could not open the DLs of VS and GG.

How is this supposed to work? I'll check this site for answers, but I'm totally confused. Note: I am a total beginner.

Thanks.

You cannot run Virtual Space on Emulator. It is like running Virtual Apps inside another Virtual Apps. Do note that Emulator is considered a Virtual, it can't run another virtual inside of it.

Are you trying to install Game Guardian on Emulator itself or inside the Virtual Space. Refer to my #1 comment first, and yes, you can install GG on LDPlayer 9.

I'm not sure your intention to use Virtual Space in this case. Need more context.

I honestly don't know enough to answer those questions. I want to use GG to hack a game. That is all I know. When I went to check, at Hackerbot it said I had to use them together. From what you say I need only GG? If so, how do I install it?

I do not see answers here that are simple enough (step by step, from zero) for me.

To install Game Guardian, you just need Root and Game Guardian itself.

  • 1) Lauch your LDPlayer first
  • 2) In the top right corner, you will find a bunch of buttons, select the "Menu" (=) button
  • 3) Select "Settings"
  • 4) Select "Other Settings"
  • 5) Set "Root Permission" to "Enable"
  • 6) Click "Save Settings"
  • 7) Restart the emulator (close it and start it again)
  • 8. On emulator, install your Game Guardian. If you have it outside (on your PC) just drag the APK into the emulator and it will automaticly installs it.
  • 9. Launch Game Guardian and select "Default"
  • 10. Wait and it will ask for "Root" permission, select "Remember Choice Forever" and "Allow" it.
  • 11. Done.

Is that too hard? It is really simple in my opinion.

One more point: Literally every instance of instructions on using GG with no root says it needs a virtual space app to succeed. EVERY one. Including those right here; the download page is explicit about that. Yet from the above response, it would seem that isn't quite true. So I am further befuddled.

I cannot even figure out how to paste a screenshot here.

I'm sorry to be so dense. It used to be a lot simpler; back in the day I hacked games, but it's been a while. Now, I'm all at sea.

Thanks

You missed the point of "Why it should use Virtual Space". All of the phones (exclude Android 4.0) requires the phone to be "Jailbreaked" first (this include IPhone). You need risky amount of things just to get your phone rooted: from Unlocking your phone Bootloader, Flashing your ROM, etc; that could lead into bootloop or just dead in general. That's why most of tutorial would say "it requires Virtual Space", since you can get "Sandboxed Root Permission".

It is. It is used to be simpler but you can't deny the fact that security is envolving each generation. If you're experiencing hacking games on Android 4.0 KitKat, you just install "KingRoot" and you get your own Root Permission without alot of complicated things. I miss those days where I literally could hack others Wifi Network.

And no, Game Guardian cannot work without Root. It is permanent.

That's very close to what I need. It went fine until #9. Then,

a. Installing GG led to two icons, not one. One has "SW", the other has "HW".

b. I tried "SW", + default. It said the daemon failed. Now it won't run. I keep getting the Work Mode question. When I choose "root" I get a message "You need to install a Virtual Space etc. ... [ending with] you must run the game and Game Guardian in the virtual space.". Which is back to square one, to me.

b.1. I think get a popup saying Google wants to use SID and LSID cookies to access all my Google data. I don't care for that. Must I allow?

c. I said "no". Then got what appears to be an ad, for "Front Door". It seems interminable, including a number of things already on this site. (I accepted cookies here.)

d. It never got to ## 9 - 11, at all.

Again, I thank you for your help, and apologize for being dense. Until #9, it was EXACTLY what I need.

So, since I am doing this on my PC, not a phone, all is all that irrelevant to me?

So far, I've been able to install. That's about it. When I try to use the icon with SW, I get a choice:

1. With Root. That gives a "daemon" failed message. End of line.

2. Without Root: That seems to do nothing but lead to an ad. It NEVER gets to a start button, or the "floating icon" I'm supposed to see.

A puzzlement.

Edit: when I do open the game, there is a GG icon in upper left. However, when I click it, I get "Daemon is not running", with more that root is needed. But I thought that was taken care of by using an emulator.

One more thing

One thing I may have left unclear. I am NOT using this on a phone. I am using it on my PC. Or at least, trying to use it.

OK, I did figure out how to make LD Player rooted. Now I have to figure how to isolate the value I want to change. Unfortunately, it changes very slowly.

Now I have another problem. In the Help for "exact search" it says "tap the 'known (exact search)' button in the Search tab." I can see no such button. Those words do not appear at all.

There is at the top, one tab which is "search". Clicking on it says "Nothing found. Try to search again." But I never got to enter anything to search for. So where do I enter the value I want to search for? I cannot see where it tells me.

On the line below, there are a number of icons, four of which do have the search symbol. But none says "exact" with a mouseover. So, which is it you use to search for an exact value, and how do you do so.

It's very difficult when instructions tell you to look for something that simply isn't there. For example, none of the instructions told me to root the emulator in LD Player's own settings tab. Came across that by chance. Now I cannot find how to look up values (fields), and how to change them.

Thanks for any help that may be forthcoming.

Nothing found. Try to search again

Have you find it in all memory ranges? Inside Game Guardian -> = -> Select Memory Ranges -> Check everything.

So where do I enter the value I want to search for?

Inside the magnifying tab -> click on magnifying icon without (*) -> on the search set "type" from "???" to your desired datatypes.

So, which is it you use to search for an exact value

Your search will be exact by default (=), you can see the icon on the left of the value you want to search.
