GG has stopped working since SuperSU update?

Recommended Posts

I'm on Gingerbread 2.3, I had GG 5.6 installed a few weeks ago and it was working flawlessly (much appreciated), but today it stopped working after a SuperSU update. GG attempts to load, but crashes. I updated to GG 6.0, but still it just crashes. Any ideas? Thanks :)

Hello,

Yes, I just noticed that to. If you set the prompt type to always grant however, it works just fine.

GameGuardian does a (very poor) attempt at disguising itself from other apps (I assume the target is games here), by hiding itself as an app present on most Android devices. If said app is actually present, SuperSU will detect the deception and (silently) deny access. This is a (very important) security measure, and I will not turn it off.

Talk to whomever makes GameGuardian and make the app behave - I will not fix this. This attempt at disguising isn't going to work against any half decent game developer anyway.

Hello,

This issue was an issue with GameGuardian's Superuser request. There is an unofficial fix available here:
