Have something to hope for, so as not to be happily unhappy.  The body breathes and the spirit yearns for things. If all were possession, all would be disappointment and discontent.  Even the understanding needs something else to learn, something curiosity can feed on. Hope gives us life, but gorging on happiness can be fatal. When rewarding others, never leave them satisfied. When they want nothing, you should fear everything: unhappy happiness. Fewer begins where desire ends.
