Post screenshots. What is "randomized"? Is it a jumbled mess or just "subtle differences"? Randomization doesn't do subtle very easily when it comes to game data like this.

First of all, not to be a grammar ***** or anything, but you're typing in a forum, not texting your buddy down the street. Don't resort to using the contractions and abbreviations from texting in a venue that really doesn't require nor desire it. Second, if it was taking you 10 tries to load the restore (I am going to assume that you mean killing the process and restarting completely), then there was something wrong in your save that it was trying to restore. Thirdly, if this is happening to you, then it should randomly happen to everyone EVERY TIME that it takes a long time to load. It has NEVER randomized my account data, even when I had one particularly difficult time where it took 5 different restarts to get the game to restore. However, EACH TIME I restarted I went and cleared the game data in order to NOT have an unintentional bleed-through effect. _______________________________________________ added 4 minutes later I think I found the problem. Of all the people having this problem, how many of them have used a modded APK and gotten it to save to Google or the like? THIS is why I don't use modded APKs. Not only do I want to be able to do the things myself, I want to know that the only thing changing is what I am changing at that moment.

There are three reasons that you got the results you did: 1) You got a save with the exact data that was restored, due to the person sharing the save (most likely unintentionally) overwriting an older save. 2) The game extrapolated data present, searched for an exact match to that data present in the database, then gave you THAT data instead. 3) The game AI recognized your IP address, decided to play games with you, and then proceeded to add in those exact two items knowing that it would mess with your head. For those following along at home, number 1 is the most likely. Ask yourself one thing ... HOW in the world is the game going to find RANDOM data that matches your save almost perfectly, then change just your name and maybe the amount of coins you have so that you might not notice?

If it is "randomized" then why does the same thing happen to me, but all the "extra" things I've done magically stay the same? You're telling me that there are others doing EXACTLY the same hacks as me? It isn't a "random account with the same data". It is a revert to the last time the data was successfully uploaded, then global variables like Horde timer and day/night cycle are updated. Quick Logic test to check if your account is yours or a "random player" 1) Is the Character Name the one you put in? 2) Is the gold amount the same as what you had last, including having coins "refunded" because purchases were not "saved". 3) Is your house the same as when you last logged out? If you had been building, is it the same as before you started building? I could list a few dozen more, but there really is no need. It isn't random data, it's a data revert because SOMETHING caused the game to not upload your latest progress. Edit, Addendum: And the easiest way to get help is not whine for videos, but to actually explain what you are getting that doesn't match what should be happening. Above all, remember that we are trying to play fast and loose with security measures designed to prevent EXACTLY this. Patience is required, as it sometimes doesn't work.

Stop asking for videos. The steps are very easy to follow. Videos are how the devs easily find glitches/exploits/hacks and then go about fixing them.

So I take it that I could clear data and restart the game, start a name game and do a couple things to get it to save data, then exit. Replace the folder with Krakken's data and restart again and I'll be playing his game. Now, if I link that to a Google Account, will it stick?

Probably a coin or cash purchase for reset.

That's the rub. We might find it and never know it due to the fact that there is no ability to really "Document" unknown variable due to the fact that the memory address changes during boot cycle of the game. And then there is the simple fact that they might be server side variables, or that they might be hidden between variables that, if changed, will bork the game and require a full reinstall ..... if it doesn't frag the save that the individual is working on at the time. Plus, since the devs are releasing updates at a pretty brisk pace, those that really know how to dive into the GG code and find individual tidbits generally have an unknown but limited time to work. I point to the speed of which 1.4.6 became 1.5.2 to illustrate that...

There is a way to do so, but you need to be a little inventive since each weapon has a different durability number. There is a post from earlier in this thread, but I'm not certain which page it is on.

looking back over my notes and discussions concerning pre and post 5.x LDOE, it seems to me that the devs implemented a dual variable anti hack in the crafting system. Pre 5.x, the system only checked vs inventory variables, meaning that setting all requirements to 0 fooled the system and allowed free crafting. Post 5.x, the system does the same check, but now there is an additional variable check that trips the "light craft button" function. By Occam's Razor, it's going to be something simple. Using my own knowledge in helping companies decide how to upgrade systems and software, I believe that the devs have a single variable array that indexes exactly what individual item "type" is in the inventory slot. Without knowing where this value is stored or what the value is supposed to be for individual items that we cannot actually gather at the moment, it would seem completely hopeless to get free craft back through GG. However, the recent progress on getting the chopper decoded gives me hope. It stands to reason, by the graces of the Razor again, that any item verification checks will be at the exact same offset for all items in the crafting table. Once the verification variable is verified as existing and the offset is known, it is a simple matter of compiling a list of values for current items and then attempting to identify the "verification variable" that is being tested against. If we find that, we can change it to something like Pine Logs, set all verification to match, set values to 0, and bingo .... free craft returns. I'm posting this due to the fact that I have little experience with GG and interpreting value relationships.

Same here. says there are multiple installation certificates, but LDOE isnt installed. On the subject of wipes, it will probably be a full force wipe of any account not tied to GP. "Local Accounts" will likely be prged on loading screen if their "metadata" datestamp is earlier than a the wipe date.

Awesome find. What settings on LP? And will this sync with GP accounts? Have had crap luck with getting modded apks to do what they advertise. Had a couple even try to install hackware to the root ... As I have said, emulators are awesome.
-
roflmao ... emulators are awesome that way. Brick your phone OS ... not good. Brick an Emulator OS ... exit and restore.
-
It shouldn't need to be signed, though good idea trying that. On a side note, has there been any progress on free craft? Specifically the guns?
-
Same here. Won't install over PS version or by itself.

Yes, please, good sir. You are a god among mortals for doing so. I agree with Trol1025. No offense to the ones that make the mods, but I barely trust the regular signed APKs. Trusting that the creator only modded what they say they modded ... plus I'd rather not have to download additional programs and jump through hoops to do something that is just as easily accomplished in GG ...
