    If it resets back to what you had, why not freeze the gold amount after hacking it, wouldn't that work?

    If its server sided chances are you won't be able to mod it now there are cases were server sided games are modable, but usually currency in game like that isn't modable, ex: castle clash currency isn't moddable but heroes are just one example
