Giving yourself golden eggs can only be done indirectly through a daily gift, piggy bank, or random gift box (from what I've tested.)
Daily Gift - Double
You must be in the menu to CLAIM your daily gift, not edit it beforehand and wait for the timer to reset and claim then. When in the menu to claim your daily gift, search for the amount of golden eggs that the gift is supposed to give you, and change each one until the value changes. From my experience, the only visual change I see is the tiny number on the actual calender. (This works for mostly everything on the daily calender, but I haven't tested it all.)
Piggy bank - Double
This has already been talked about before in this thread, but it's just a simple search of how many golden eggs are in your actual piggy, not including the bonus from your piggy level. You should be able to just change the value and crack open the piggy, but you would have to pay since I believe LP no longer works for egg inc. Regardless of if it does or not, Auxbrain is able to tell whether you've actually paid them to crack the piggy or not so I wouldn't really recommend this unless nothing else works. (If you want to trim the numbers down you can search for the GE in your piggy, consume an ingredient in artifacts, and then search for the new number. Ingredients for most stones give piggy bank GE.)
Random Gift - Double
This one is by far the easiest, as all you have to do it wait for a box, the random gift, to come in and change the value then claim. Search for the amount of golden eggs as a Double and just change and claim. The number should change in the pop-up menu, but if it doesn't then claiming should still give you the GE if done correctly. (I would suggest only doing this if the gift is 48 GE or higher)
Since these values are relatively high, you should be okay to change the values all at once. I'd reccomend not changing them if they're in the low double digits or a single digit number. It's also not reccomended to change a lot at once (500+) in my opinion, but you are able to as long as it doesn't crash the app.
