I have the same issue... When I go to put in stat points it stays even after i save it, but when i go to click on the arrow to apply the stat points it closes without me being able to adjust anything.

Name of hack: Force Close workaround

1: First i will not be posting how to find the correct address because they can all be found in other posts. So to start .....

2: After findng the correct memory address that you wish to change and before changing it. Make sure to save the address , naming it is optional.

3: Now go back into the game and go to the options screen where you choose to save or go to main menu..

4: now back into GG change the value to what you want. For stats it can be as high as you want. For skill points I wouldn't go above 312 to be safe (you can repeat it if desired) and for money 999999 is max.

5: Now as soon as you save the value change quickly go into the game and click save. This will prevent force close for stats and skills. Money will force close but when you reload the game you will have max money..
