Unable to see any files when going through the execute a script tab.

I'm on a Pixel 8a, root is installed and GG has all permissions required including superuser. All I can see is folders when going in to select a file. I'm completely new to this so I have no idea how to get to any adb cmd shell or anything along those lines. If someone could guide me to fixing this that would be great.
