card wars no longer hackable?

Game Version: 1.0.7 and 1.09 dosent work
Name of Cheat: black cards (game.json)

Steps:

1. Open cpm.turner.cardwars goto files.
2. edit with text editor or copy game.json to pc for easier editing

it dosent work anymore, i used to be able to hack-in any cards i want, now even thugh i downgraded my game to 1.0.7 it still dosent work. if i turn on airplane mode it works but if i connect to inter net it dosent work and it reverts all the changes i did. so can this game nolonger be hacked for black cards? danm if i knew this i woulda hacked them all in before they patched it but did not think it could be patched even in older versions :/.
