How to unpack/edit .obb files?

qwer098

Question

PG3D's mods are mostly obb file-based. Therefore, I would like to try modding the obb file, but I couldn't read the file because the obb file was encrypted or something. (I couldn't access it with a normal program like winrar) How can I access the internal file? I know this is not a forum that focuses on obb files, but I'm asking if I can get information.

Hi!  You can't unpack OBB files without an Access Key and it depends on what game engine that the game use. For Unity, you can try UABE: Unity Assets Bundle Extractor or Asset Studio. For Unreal Engine; you can try to unpack the obb first and open the files via the Unreal Engine itself. You can't open it using conventional WinRar/WinZip/7z.
