Failed to read file list.

I face this error when I look for scripts in my sd card and downloads. I tried 64bit and 32bit version, with and without parallel space but nothing worked. My device was rooted earlier with magisk but later I unrooted my phone. I rooted again with supersu to use gg. How can i fix this?

I am also having this problem on a 64bit android 7 emulator. This is not occurring when picking script files, but when a script tells me to input a file path with gg.prompt, this is what I see.

Are you sure the file path /storage/emulated/0 is correct?
