Query: How to search for rounded off values

Pataylagi

Question

Hi All,

Can anyone give a guide on how to search for values that are displayed in their rounded-off form?

for example: Upgrade costs.

I know I can search the exact value because it's what I used to do when the values are lower.  At higher levels when the costs get high enough, the cost is displayed, for example, instead of 1231231 it is displayed as 1.23M.

This is what i tried doing;

1. since I cannot see the exact value, I searched for value > 1230000 , which gets about 23 million results.

2. i use filter function "< 1240000"

3. I get zero results.

Is this the proper way to search in between values? if not, can we request to add this function?

thank you

1.23mil

Could be 1,229,700

I would change your range to

1220000

1240000

Do a series of unchanged value searches.

Then do range again.

Then if you have 1000+ results.

Set  filter to display like 500 at a time.

Increment edit of 1000000

This way the rounded value will be obvious which is correct value.

If none were the value, revert, delete, search, repeat with next set of 500.

Edit :

Also, depending on the game.

Value could be double or dword.

@Pataylagi bro, do you remember the cost before it's rounded? like how much is level one, two and three upgrade cost?

There's no way to tell because it just shows the abbreviated form from 1M. I'm not able to say how much it actually increases for each level.

I saw in the new version that a ranged search is now available. I will be trying it out. it's most probably DWORD since that's the dtype they're using for the lower values.

note:

Totally works.. :D

Thanks for all replies.
