It is true. But simpler way - use titanium backup in offline. If nothing done then you can always return to previous backup by restore data. Main thing - do not forget disable internet before that.

Depends on Game. For some game one, for another - another.
Currently I record most of video in Droid4X. Good emulator.
Memu I do not use. I have problems with adb on it.
Bluestacks I use version 0.8. It have some bugs and advantages. All video about Asphalt 8 recorded on Bluestacks.

I do not have ptrace. May be because I run game on Droid4X.
In fact, I install this game for test the protection, but it does not start. So I am record the video how to hack.
If the game supports the transfer of data via cloud saving, then in Droid4X it can be hacked, and then go to onto the device. I had some sort of message about cloud data. So it seems to be true.

It is issue of your firmware. Normally database is always internal data and never moved to sdcard. Even if app installed on sdcard.
