watching that, I don't have to input the period for example:

g.u.a.r.d.i.a.n.

is searched in text as

"g" 00 "u" 00 "a" 00 "r" 00 "d" 00 "i" 00 "a" 00 "n" 00

Is this right? @Enyby

Period or something would be "easier"...

Look forward to ability to check a box to say the text is "padded" so it will auto fill the 00 for us :)

@Zaidos depends of what you need. In memory editor any unprintable chars showed as period (dot). You need watch hex code and use it. If it real period you need use period. If it zero - zero.

@Enyby

With the string search and replace, how does this work if string is abc and you want to replace with cdefghijklmn

You can't replace with a longer string or else you end up re-writing values nearby... Or can GG insert and shift? Also with the re-writing (with Last day on earth), their is a value above the string stating how many lines of text their is, which obviously won't work on this game if string length changed.

GG simply writes the specified text into memory. If the text is larger, then all that is behind it will be rewritten. If less, the remainder will remain in memory.
GG does not do anything at all. It does not even insert a zero byte into the end of your string, so that you can work with non-null terminated strings. All this is determined by the user. If it needs it - it adds a zero at the end.

Yes, you can.

Unless the text is a file in memory. Editing text is best to keep character length the same. So instead of "nice shot"... "Holy shit".

Only if server accept full text from you. Usually it is too expensive and client send and recieve only ID of catch phrases. So if you change it only you see changes. All another users stay use original text.

Hi . Thanks above tut. Is the correct Way?  If so I will figure it out  it may take some trial and error bt that's part of the fun I guess  it appears complicated.  GG is friendly to users like myself  I'll mess around with it and  I will post my results good or not so good outcome.  I also am trying to understand time jump,   the videos I've seen don't explaine how to actually use in a complex  way .. sure I can jumpe ahead  on countdown timers but I want to know if I can tell GG the time I want to finish a race and then race as fast or as slow as I choose and no matter what my time is it will be scored as the time entered

I do appreciate any time.  Thank you

It's just a tool. How to use it, you decide. A time jump is used for an instantaneous transition. To change the speed, use speedhack. The correct size of the jump is calculated by yourself, based on your needs.
